Founding Engineer (Full Stack) at SchemeFlow | Y Combinator
Overview
We’re looking for an excellent Full-Stack Engineer to join the team. Someone with unstoppable grit, a relentless bias to action, and a “make it happen” mentality.
You’ll be joining the trenches in a Y-Combinator backed AI company in London. You’ll be inspired by the mission to deploy technology to unlock the bureaucracy of getting things built. And you’ll be pumped to have a chance to work with a relentlessly driven, high-performance, ambitious team.
About the role
Tech
You will be working across the whole tech stack
Frontend - Vue.js, integrated directly into Microsoft Word
Backend - FastAPI
Cloud / DevOps - Google Cloud / GitHub Actions
Data - Supabase / Postgres / PostGIS for geospatial data. Vertex Pipelines for data processing
AI - various LLM models (Gemini, OAI, Anthropic etc.)
Location
Hybrid - min. 3 days a week in person at SchemeFlow HQ in WeWork in Central London.
Potential relocation opportunity to San Francisco depending on visa + business need in next 12 - 24 months.
Hours
This is a high-output role. You’ll be trusted to deliver results fast, often ahead of traditional timelines. You’ll be surrounded by ambitious teammates bringing energy and urgency to their work, and going the extra mile.
Compensation
£80 - £120k depending on experience.
0.2 - 1% equity. If SchemeFlow is successful, you may never need to work again.

Experience
You are highly technical, with expertise across our tech stack (and beyond).
You will have strong experience building real products and shipping to users.
Personality
You love building. Technology has never been “just a job” for you.
You will have incredibly high standards and attention to detail. You will spot UI inconsistencies or poorly structured code. This sort of thing may make you angry and you will fix it.
You will seek to deeply understand our users that the important work they do. You will jump at the opportunity to meet with them, dive into the detail of how they do their work, and use this to make SchemeFlow a delightful product.
You work well with others, are kind, communicate clearly, and don’t let ego get in the way of progress. You care about being effective, not just being right.
